Lauren Fowler creates intricate glass sculptures that translate natural systems into complex, layered forms. Drawing from the repetitive structures found in dahlias, her work explores rhythm, accumulation, and growth. Her practice is rooted in experimentation, continually developing new techniques to expand the scale of her work and the interplay of color and light within each piece.

Born in Ohio and raised throughout the Midwest, Fowler earned her BFA from Bowling Green State University and her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, along with a collegiate teaching certificate from Brown University. She has spent over two decades developing her studio practice alongside a career in art education. She lives and works in Lake Forest, Illinois, where she serves as Chair of the Fine and Performing Arts Department at Lake Forest Academy.

Her work is held in public and private collections and has been commissioned by organizations including The Walt Disney Company, Toledo Museum of Art, and Owens-Illinois. She is represented by the Sandra Ainsley Gallery, the Corning Museum of Glass, the Toledo Museum of Art, and the Museum of Glass.
